May 4 Update

TCLP Congregational Survey
While we are thankful for the technology that helps us to remain connected during this pandemic, we miss you. We long for the day when we can gather together for worship again. While we do not know that date yet, we are preparing for that day and we need your help.

We will consider the information gathered through this survey along with the guidance provided by local and national health officials in determining the best course of action for restarting in-person gatherings on our campus.

A Note from the Mission Council
There are overwhelming global needs as a result of COVID-19. Many people are hungry and in desperate need. In order to be good stewards of the resources God has provided, the Mission Council voted to reallocate some of the funds that were designated for mission trips (which will be postponed until 2021) to four different areas overseas. For Guatemala a gift will be given to different pastors to provide for local needs (including food for families). Gifts will be given to missionaries in Kenya, Egypt and Colombia (for Venezuelan refugees) to aid in food distribution and other ministries. If you and your family would like the joy of giving to any of these efforts, you can contribute in one of the following three ways:
  • Give Online: www.libertypark.org/give; Select the "Mission Fund"

  • Text to Give: Text TCLP to 73256 to give using your text messaging and select the "Mission Fund". Standard text messaging rates may apply.

  • Give by Check: Please make checks payable to: The Church at Liberty Park and mail to: 12001 Liberty Parkway, Vestavia Hills, AL 35242. Please write "Mission Fund" on the memo line.

Memory Verses for this Week
As Pastor Randy preaches through Philippians, we want to encourage you to meditate on the message by memorizing one of the verses that he shares. Our memory verses for this week are Philippians 2:3-4.
3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
