Deck the Walls with - Paper! Saturday, November 22

Men, we need your help to transform fellowship hall into a beautiful, winter-wonder-candyland and Nativity for our children. How does one accomplish that?  With blue paper!  Please bring a ladder and stapler if you have one - the paper will be provided -  and report to fellowship hall at 7:00am, Saturday, November 22.  David Lucas will provide coffee and doughnuts to help get you started.

IMB Missionaries to Visit

This Sunday, November 23, International Mission Board missionaries Michael and Karen Crane will be with us in both worship services. The Cranes have served in Indonesia and are presently serving in Southeast Asia.  tudies at the Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary. Plan to come and hear about the work they are doing as God’s ambassadors in this part of the world.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Gently used artificial trees that are still in good condition are needed to decorate the church for Christmas.  Do you have a tree that you would like to donate?  If so, please bring it to the church by Sunday, November 30.  Decorating begins Monday, December 1. 

Stock the Pantry of UAB Medical Apartments

The community pantry of the UAB Medical Apartments needs a few items.  If you would like to help stock their pantry, please bring the items to the church office and we’ll take them with us the next time we take supper to them - Tuesday, December 9.  Needed are 30 (or 60) gallon trash bags, 60-watt light bulbs, dishwashing detergent, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, Pine-Sol, laundry detergent, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned soups, coffee, tea, plasticware, bathroom tissue, paper towels, peanut butter, grits, instant oatmeal, syrup and pancake mix. 

Monday's Mission

After a brief "vacation" pill counting for missions has resumed!  We will meet in fellowship hall every Monday at 8:00am and work till about noon.  Anyone who would like to join us in this mission effort (this is NOT limited to Seniors) will be welcome!  Each one should bring a sandwich.  We enjoy good fellowship, snacks, and sometimes even dessert.  

Children’s Choir for Christmas - Grades 1-5

It's not too late to join the children's Christmas Choir.  Two rehearsals remain; November 23 and December 7.  Come to the music room on the Children's hall this Sunday at 5:00pm. The choir will sing in the Worship Ministries annual Christmas program on December 14. 

LPBC and CampUs - Christmas Party, December 6

Liberty Park Baptist Church is partnering with Samford University's CampUs to provide support for families of children with special needs.  Through this partnership, CampUs can help deepen a family's connection to a Christ-centered community and help them to tangibly experience God's great love for them, "the least of these." (Luke 14:13)
Members of LPBC who are interested in volunteering to play with the children at the next CampUs event are asked to contact David Lucas in the church office, 969-1236 or 222-3949, cell.  The next event is a Christmas Party, Saturday, December 6 at 10am at the church.
