Notice of Called Business Meeting

We will have a Called Business Meeting Sunday, November 22 at the close of the worship service.  The purpose of the meeting is two-fold:  1) we will hear the the report from the Nominating Committee, and 2) we will vote to approve the 2016 Proposed Ministries Financial Plan.

Stewardship Pledge Card Reminder

If you haven't done so already, please remember to turn in your 2016 stewardship pledge card.  You may place it in the wooden lock box on the table in the mail hallway, bring it to the church office or place it in the offering plate this Sunday. Thank you!

Children’s Chorus Rehearsals

The first rehearsal was AWESOME!  The Children's Chorus will rehearse again this Sunday, November 22 and Sunday, December 6 at 4:00pm in the sanctuary.  Questions? Contact Ryan Leffel by phone or email, 205.969.1236.

Save Postage on Christmas Cards and Give to Lottie Moon!

We can see the quizzical look on your face now and hear the exclamations of, "What???" How can saving postage benefit the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering? Well, here's how:

This year, instead of purchasing stamps and snail-mailing the beautiful Christmas cards that you plan to send to your friends and family who attend LPBC, bring them to the church and put them in the LPBC Lottie Moon Post Office Mail Box.  The money you save on stamps will be your gift to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering in addition to the amount you were already planning to give.  The custom-made mail box will have slots for each letter of the alphabet, A, B, C, and so on all the way to a box for the combined letters of W,X Y and Z.  Bring your cards, in their envelopes, and place them in the mail box/slot of the first letter of the person's last name.  For example, if you want to give Pastor Scott and Beth a Christmas card, you would write Pastor Scott and Beth Guffin on the envelope and put the card in the "G" mail box/slot. You can check your mail slot every Sunday and Wednesday starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The LPBC Children's Ministry is sponsoring this activity and will be sorting and filling mail slots with all the Christmas cards each week.
