Mitten and Scarf Tree

The Kindergarten - 5th grade AWANA Missions classes have been studying the country of Ecuador the month of November.  For our Christmas mission project we will be sponsoring a "Mitten Tree" to be located in the children's wing downstairs. Please help up fill the tree with mittens, hats and scarves for all ages. We will donate the items to the E3 ministry that will send them with mission teams as they go to Ecuador.  Donations will be collected through December 17th.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Southern Baptists send missionaries from their churches, through the International Mission Board, to go into the world making disciples in the name of Jesus. In that partnership, Southern Baptists provide the funding to send and support these missionaries and their ministries. 59% of the funding for these missionaries and their ministries is supplied each year by the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. The more resources they provide, the more missionaries can be sent.  As a faith family, our goal in 2014 is to give $24,000 to invest in these Kingdom efforts.  To date, we have received $9,711.  Please prayerfully consider how the Lord would lead you to participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering this year.

Stock the Pantry Update

David Lucas needed more than his pick-up truck to haul the huge load of items you so generously gave to re-stock the pantry of the UAB Medical Apartments! Thank you very, very much!

Monday's Mission

After a brief "vacation", pill counting for missions has resumed!  We will meet in fellowship hall every Monday at 8:00am and work till about noon.  Anyone who would like to join us in this mission effort (this is NOT limited to Seniors) will be welcome!  Each one should bring a sandwich.  We enjoy good fellowship, snacks, and sometimes even dessert.

Weekly Sermon Audio Now Available
